The Anointed One

Bright yellow marks scatter and cluster across a deeply worked ground of darker tones. The yellow arrives in varying densities: fine spatters, thicker blobs, and longer trailing lines that cut through the underlying layers of red, blue, and near-black. In some areas the yellow sits clearly on top; in others it mingles with the darker paint so that the two become difficult to separate.

The surface itself is highly active. Raised ridges of paint and small accumulations catch the light, while recessed passages remain matte and shadowed. Across the full width the eye moves continuously through this interplay of bright accent and deeper field, never settling into a single resting place.
