Verde Ramparts

The long surface is filled with tightly interwoven forms in yellow, red, and cyan that twist and press against one another without rest. Cooler greens and deeper reds appear in the spaces between, sometimes holding their own shape, sometimes dissolving into the surrounding color. The paint builds in low ridges and thin films, so the surface never feels flat; light catches the raised edges and slips into the quieter recesses.

Across the full length the eye is kept in motion by the constant shift of hue and the irregular edges of each form. No single area dominates for long. Instead the colors keep trading places, brighter notes rising briefly before being absorbed back into the denser network, while the underlying darker ground occasionally opens through and then closes again.
